I (Matthew) presented at the 2013 IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Conference (EMBC) in Osaka, Japan, and spent a few days after the conference visiting some nearby locales. I teamed up with friends Jake Osterberg and Masaaki Watanabe along the way for some mountaineering.
