Eastern Washington Birding
March 24-27, 2021
Katie and I drove out to eastern washington for a road trip hitting a bunch of good birding locations. We started at Twin Lakes recreation area Weds night with a good campfire then hiked around and packrafted Thursday. We then drove to Crab Creek for some more hiking and birding later that day. Friday we visited Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge, then hiked up Kamiak Butte in the evening. Saturday we hiked around Rose Creek Nature Reserve and Wawawai county park before driving home. In total we saw 29 different species of birds, including some interesting ones like trumpeter swans, western bluebirds and golden finches.
