Hex Mountain – 5,034ft
December 14, 2016
Eric and Aaron
The weather cleared this Wednesday and Aaron and I were both free for a trip. We drove up to near the town of Ronald, and started hiking up a snowy logging road towards Hex Mountain, with skis strapped to our packs. The snow got denser and denser, and progress was pretty difficult. We ditched the skis at the end of an old logging road grade and followed a trail the rest of the way to the summit. What had taken us 5 hours to hike up, we easily skied down in just one hour, reaching the car just before sunset.
