Telescope Peak (11,048ft)
October 17, 2015
Eric Gilbertson
I camped out in the car down the road from Boundary Peak, and in the morning drove for a few hours into California. I passed by Mt Whitney, then into Death Valley National Park. Luckily it wasn’t very hot that time of year. I drove up the road to the Telescope Peak trailhead, but it was washed out and my car started scraping, so I had to pull off early. I walked a mile or so up the road, then hiked a few hours up to the summit.
I had the summit to myself, and hiked back to the car in the afternoon. That evening I drove farther south and found a stealth campsite just outside Joshua Tree National Park
